I CANNOT WAIT! Eight of us from the barn are piling into a trailer and driving to a nearby campgrounds for a day of trail riding on Sunday. It has been years since I have been on a "real" trail ride, and this will be T-Bone's first experience out with a group of horses. We trail ride around the farm and stuff, and of course we've been to shows - but I don't know how the whole galloping in a field with 7 other horses is going to go. :-) I'm really amped about it tho, and I hope the weather holds.
Now I have to go shopping for bug spray. And bell boots wouldn't hurt either.

ReplyDeleteMy Arab mare really did not like to be with other horses on trail rides. If they got too close to her she would kick the crap out of them! She much preferred it to be just her and me out riding. We would go riding all day long when I had a day off and she still had energy to burn by the end of the day - and she was in her 20's!! Loved her to death! And I sure do miss her!!
