Well here's the deal. There are going to be major changes in my job and thus my life this year. Chances are I will likely move out of Indiana and possibly even the Midwest. Depends on where this job situation takes me. The move/transition will likely happen late summer or early fall, so I hesitate to really plan out an entire show season with Hampton. Who knows where we will be and who knows if I'll have money.
But I thought I can plan out at least until June or so. So here goes:
Feb. 12: Winter Reins Dressage at Foxton (?? a big maybe)
March 19: Dressage at Come Again Farm (this works great as I will be on furlough this week!)
March 26: Winter Reins Dressage at Foxton
April 16: Dressage at Come Again Farm
May: Harmony in the Park (Edinburgh) *Young horse test
June 4-5: Indy Classic at Foxton Farm
Dates may change as Foxton loves to cancel and reschedule their shows constantly.
In addition, I am likely going to a dressage camp in June (where I take take lessons) and if my cards fall right, I'd love to go to one or two clinics. HOPEFULLY with Christoph Hess and perhaps one other person. Lofty goals? Maybe. Sure would be great to show at Lamplight but I doubt I'll be able to afford it. Plus I'd rather invest in training/education rather than shows if given the choice.
In other news ... more snow and ice in the forecast.
It looks like you have a great show season planned! I'm excited to read about it as it plays out!!
ReplyDeleteSee you at CAF in April and I will probably be volunteering in March. So maybe then too. Looks like a fun but not too busy season which I think is a great plan.
